My First Naked Man Drawing

These rough 5 minute drawings were created in my first ever life drawing session.  They started off appalling but when I discovered that even though I need to wear glasses to see, for some reason I can see and draw better without them.

 The chosen one:

Summer 2010

Working down Old Tintern Station's tea room I was asked to create a child friendly map for the treasure hunt they were running this summer.  I was given a rough draft of what was required and decided to use acrylics as it is vibrant and welcoming.

The illustration was so successful that some copies of the map 'disappeared' which gives me a great sense of achievement that a four year old would wish to smuggle one home

During the summer I also made the  most of the beautiful days and ventured out with my camera.  Taking photos of everything that moved, and saying that, taking pictures of things that didn't, I took these into fine art paintings.  Bigsweir bridge and a sunset were the decided subjects.
